Restorative Long Treatment
Treatments ~ Restorative Long Treatment
All-in-One Restorative Treatment
Acupuncture, Cupping and Remedial massage combined.
For women in Bayside Melbourne who are overdue for a proper reset.
This popular 90-minute treatment brings together the best of Traditional Chinese Medicine and qualified Remedial massage, tailored entirely to what your body needs.
When did you last do something entirely for yourself?
If you've been managing work, family, and everyone else's needs, your body has probably been quietly asking for a pause.
Fatigue, tension, disrupted sleep and a mind that won't switch off.
These aren't signs of weakness. There are signs that your system needs support.
The Restorative Long Treatment was designed for exactly this moment.
A holistic treatment designed to work with your whole body
This isn't a standalone Acupuncture session, nor is it a one-size-fits-all massage.
The Restorative Long Treatment brings together Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine modalities alongside qualified Remedial massage, offered in a single, unhurried 90-minute appointment. It's a unique offering in Melbourne’s Bayside.
Each appointment is shaped around you
Depending on what's present in your body on the day, your treatment may draw from any combination of:
ACUPUNCTURE
This may include ear acupuncture and electroacupuncture.
MOXIBUSTION
Targeted heat therapy to improve flow (Qi).
CUPPING AND GUA SHA
Cupping and Gua Sha support circulation and ease muscular tension.
CHINESE HERBAL CONSULTATION
Nature-based formula built specifically for you.
REMEDIAL MASSAGE
Restorative Remedial Massage from a qualified Remedial Therapist.
Restorative Long Treatment is for you if…
You're a woman who has been meaning to prioritise her health for months and keeps pushing it back.
You’re experiencing a combination of symptoms that you would like to address in a single session.
Common conditions include: tension, low energy, hormonal shifts, disrupted sleep, and ongoing discomfort.
You're new to Traditional Chinese Medicine and want a gentle, unhurried introduction to what it can offer.
You're already a regular patient and want to experience Acupuncture and massage together, without booking two separate appointments.
What t o expect during your treatment?
Before You Arrive
You'll receive a New Patient Intake form to complete before your initial consultation. This helps me understand what's happening for you and ensures your appointment is focused from the moment you walk in.
When You Arrive
You'll be welcomed into a calm, private clinic space. My home clinic, located on a quiet Bayside street in Sandringham, is quite different from a busy shopping strip environment.
We begin with a detailed conversation about your individual health concerns, symptoms, medical background, and what you're hoping to achieve. I will likely look at your tongue and feel your wrist pulses, which in Chinese medicine reflect the health of your internal organs and will likely help to confirm your diagnosis and the focus of your treatment.
During Your Treatment
Your 90 minutes will move through a combination of therapies, based on what your body needs. If Acupuncture is included, it's time for the needles to do their thing, whilst you rest on the table, listening to calming music. It is not uncommon for patients to drift off into a restful slumber.
After Your Treatment
Most people leave feeling deeply relaxed, lighter, and clearer. Some notice a shift immediately, others find the effects build over the days that follow.
Why Embrace Complementary Medicine?
What draws people to Embrace Complementary Medicine (and what keeps them coming back) tends to come down to a few things:
A practitioner who truly listens
Your experience matters. There’s no minimising, no rushing through symptoms, and no leaving with more questions than you arrived with. I believe that being genuinely heard is part of the healing process.
A calm, private home clinic
Tucked away on a quiet Bayside street in Sandringham, my clinic is a world away from busy shopping strips and noisy waiting rooms. From the moment you arrive, the environment is designed to help you exhale.
Education is part of every session
Understanding why your body is doing what it’s doing, and what you can do to support it between appointments, is something I consider central to my practice. An informed patient makes progress faster.

Not at all. While Acupuncture is available within this appointment, your treatment is always tailored to your comfort levels. Cupping, Gua Sha, moxibustion, and Remedial massage can all be incorporated without needles.

Acupuncture needles are very fine, quite different from an injection needle. You may feel a mild ache, warmth, or tingling at the point of insertion, which typically fades quickly. Many people find the experience deeply relaxing, and it's not uncommon to fall asleep during treatment.

The short answer is Yes!
Many women seek Traditional Chinese Medicine therapies and Remedial massage during pregnancy as a form of supportive care, drawing on its long history of traditional use in women's health.
It is commonly sought during pregnancy for a range of concerns including morning sickness, nausea, heartburn, fatigue, pelvic girdle discomfort, and emotional wellbeing, as well as preparation for labour in the final weeks.
At Embrace Complementary Medicine, I tailor every treatment to your stage of pregnancy. Certain acupuncture points are avoided during pregnancy as a precaution, and I can work collaboratively with your existing maternity care team, especially in the case of high-risk pregnancy or any complications.
If you would like to find out whether Restorative Long Treatment might be a good fit for where you are in your pregnancy journey, feel free to book an Exploratory Chat with me.

Yes, if your policy includes Chinese Herbal Medicine or Acupuncture cover. Check with your health fund for your specific level of cover.

Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is ideal. I will generally be working on your back, neck, and legs, so clothing that's easy to adjust or roll up makes things easier.

A combined 90-minute Restorative Long Treatment brings together the best of both worlds in a single, unhurried session. Whilst Remedial massage works directly on muscle, soft tissue and fascia to release the physical tension from stress, posture, and the relentless pace of modern life, Acupuncture addresses the deeper internal picture simultaneously.
A body that is already relaxed and open often responds more readily to acupuncture and associated therapies. The result is a level of care that reaches places either therapy may not achieve alone.
And most importantly, for time-poor mums, the idea of 'killing two birds with one stone' is pretty appealing!
It's a genuinely integrated session, not simply a massage with extras.
